Some general statistics and technical information about this site.

The site traffic is measured throughout the site and the figures below show how many hits/requests we were getting on the date shown. A hit is a request to our server for a file by the host computer (you!), the statistics program records this activity.

The figures below give you some idea of the size and make up of the site.

• The binary files are the image files, these are usually in either JPEG or GIF format, the text files are the html pages.
• The js (javascript) and css (cascading style sheet) files perform various functions, such as rollover effects for buttons, text styling and also verifying certain documents before sending to the server (forms etc).
• The cgi & php files are files or programms used by the server to perform various tasks.
• The CSS files are style sheets used for layout and styling throughout the site.
• PDF (portable document format) files have been used here for delivering high quality maps and some newsletters.
